Grass Lawn Community Park - Goodbye Ivy & Blackberries!06/20/2026

Activities

As spring gives way to summer, help us dig up the invasive Himalayan blackberries and English ivy to help our native species thrive this summer. We will have some fun working together in the beautiful park forest. The Himalayan blackberries and English Ivy won't have a chance to spread this summer! The Rotary Club of Redmond is hosting this project, and all of our past volunteers and new volunteers are welcome!

All ages OK

What to Bring

Dress for the weather and to get dirty. Tools and gloves will be provided at the park, but you are welcome to bring your own gloves if you want. Bring water to stay hydrated while working.

Where to Meet

Meet us near the dome covered picnic pavilion in the park. Look for a few Rotary Club of Redmond volunteers with bright colored vests.

Where to Park

The south parking lot is closest to the forest where we will be working. If you park in the east parking lot along 148th Avenue, it will be a long walk to the opposite side of the park to find us. Look for signs.
