Hartman Community Park - Dig In and Help …05/25/2019

Activities

Have fun, do good, and get involved! Join the Green Redmond Partnership at Hartman Park for a fun morning of helping the forest and this great park. We’ll be removing invasives to make room for trees and native plants to thrive.

There is something for everyone! We will be starting on a new area of park reforestation by knocking back some very tall and deep blackberry brambles for future replanting. Less intensive watering or invasive removal work also may be available.

Volunteers of all ages and experience levels welcome. If you are 15 or under, please bring a responsible adult with you. Students and adults can earn service hours. We provide gloves, tools, and training. Friends and family members are welcome but please RSVP for all members of your party to help us plan for a great event.

All ages OK

What to Bring

Closed-toed shoes are required: work boots, hiking boots, or running shoes are all fine. Remember to check the weather and bring appropriate layers and rain gear or sun protection as needed. A water bottle, a snack if you want one, and tough clothes, and shoes that can get dirty (because they will!), including long pants and a long-sleeved shirt to protect against prickly blackberry.
